Hi

I have a Logitech G25 wheel and recently added a DSD Track Boss for extra buttons.
When the Track Boss is plugged in, my G25 moves to controller 2 (confirmed with GSCE and AC). I am running Win8.1 x64.

Is there a way to force the G25 to be controller 1?

Tx,
Steve.

I think that if you go to Game Controllers and click the advanced button you can select which device is seen as the default for older games.

Thanks Chris. I have set the preferred controller but it does not appear to make a difference.

I am beginning to think the order might be determined alphabetically or by USB port number. I will fiddle around and see if I cone right otherwise will concede to reconfiguring all my car Sims.

Hi guys,

I'm experiencing the same thing here.. Steve, or anyone, is there a fix for this?

I have a Thrustmaster T300 Ferrari GTE wheel, and I've just bought the Thrustmaster shifter to go along with it - the TH8A.
After installing the drivers and plugging it in, in GSC the shifter now becomes JOY1 and my wheel is JOY2. If I disconnect the shifter, my wheel goes back to JOY1. The shifter plugs directly into a USB port.

I don't want to have to reconfigure my profile each time I connect or disconnect the shifter. I need my wheel to stay as JOY1. I've tried swapping USB ports to no avail.
I'll carry on playing around and hopefully figure it out.. Anyone else with a similar set up to mine care to shed some light?
I'm running Win7 64bit.

I haven't found a solution yet. Luckily my controller setup is permanent so I reconfigured all my sims, but don't know how to address your needs where you sometimes disconnect the extras.

Thanks for the feedback Steve.. For now I'm avoiding the issue by plugging my shifter into the wheels base (not using USB). But this will change when I get a set of pedals with a clutch and make use of the H pattern shifter. It has to go directly into a USB port then. At this time I'll see if I can figure it out, otherwise I'll configure it permanently like you've done.
