Show off your Racing Cockpit Empty My racing Rig

Post by Christo Nieuwoudt 23rd August 2014, 16:05

OK, this is mine at the moment all built by myself. I want to start building a new one from scratch as soon as I get the time to do it. The height of the pedals in relation to the seat will be changed, a dashboard will be built around the steering wheel containing the button box controls, a platform for the mouse in front of the gear shifter and all sockets mounted on the dash for microphone, USB spare ports, PC Power on/off, Speaker volume control, switch selector between speakers and wireless headphones, etc.
Until then I am enjoying the current one.

My Rig with 27" monitor

I stripped my G27 pedals and mounted it like it should be.

Thanks Charl, I wish I had more time to build my 'ultimate' rig. Got all the ideas to improve on what I currently have. All my switches, apart from the in-game switches, must be reachable from where I sit. This includes the Power on/off, PC power on/off, extra USB ports, speakers on/off, Mic on/off...... you get my thinking.
You started the thread, now where is yours? bounce

My Rig will follow soon, just gotta make an adapter for the BB to add to the rig then ill post mine Wink

Did u check u can can replace the g27 wheel with an aftermarket wheel with this adapter

Show off your Racing Cockpit Empty My very SICK wheel and setup

Post by Guest 25th August 2014, 17:26

Don't let the pictures fool you... Sad  Sad  Sad
My Wheel is stuck on 180deg rotation and ffb has been knocked out of it's senses by me on several occasions. Once, I even twisted it past it's rotational limit out of sheer frustration. Evil or Very Mad  Evil or Very Mad  Evil or Very Mad  Hence why it's now stuck on 180deg... opened it up to check what exactly had broken and found a few extra pieces that wouldn't fit anymore  What a Face  What a Face  What a Face including a little motor's gear shaft had split in 3 Embarassed ........ hmmmm, wonder how that happened??? Twisted Evil
