The Championship will consist of 10 rounds.
1 Race per round of +- 60 minutes WITH pit stop for tires.
Race start times will be 8pm where possible or as soon as load shedding is over.
Qualifying will be 20 minutes for this event

SKIN PACK MUST BE INSTALLED TO RACE ONLINE

CARS: Teams will be allowed and a team Championship will also be in effect.
Team points: From 1st to 8th place you will receive 6 points.
From 9th place to last place you will receive 5 points (If you finish the race).
Teams MUST use the same livery, including the color of the car. Only the numbers on the cars will differ.
You may create your own livery as soon as you have teamed up. Please indicate here who your team mate is and the car numbers you want.
Single entries are welcome, but won't count for team championship.

There is a good tire selection and I expect some drivers to take a chance and go with harder tires.
One pit stop MUST be made but maybe two with softer tires might be the way to go?

Well race 1 done and dusted.

Qualifying i struggled to get a clean run and my rhythm but i guess so did everyone else and I somehow got pole!

Into the race i got a decent start but eased off to be cautious to avoid the spinning and Gert got a great start! So the race was on...then Gert spun...and i got going and next corner i got knocked around. Apology accepted for that Conor.

From there on the race was a mixed bag. I had to push hard to catch up. Tires were a serious issue here i i decided on 3 stops on softs. With this i made up good time and soon was lapping guys and thats when some incidents happened. Guys really need to please pay more attention to the blue flags. Do not race and block the guy lapping you please PLEASE!!! I had 3 incidents with backmarkers either blocking me or defending against me and costing me a lot of time and car damage. Not all were bad but some were real bad. Ken, Kevin and some others made lapping very easy as they always do.

Apart from that some good driving too and well done to the podium Gus and Patrik. Sorry Gert had such a lousy race. Some good dicing in the mid field though so looks like some guys had good fun. Hopefully guys calm down for the next race and pay attention to the flags more then it will be great. Having a nice full field is a pleasure though.

Had a good start, but then spun the after T1. After that it was a nightmare. I spun so many times that I would rather want to forget this race. Every time I settled in I spun.

I tagged Rudolph Mare on lap 14 T1. Sorry Rudolph, sis not know you were gonna be that slow in the corner.

Well done to Denis for the win and Patrik for 2nd.

I made way too many mistakes, but I guess it is the first race of the season and I think we all made lots of mistakes and we will all learn from this round and get better.

The last 2 laps I drove without a front wing and just tried to keep the car on the road. That was not so nice 2 laps...

Looking forward to the next round.

Always tough to go into a new series.
These cars are not that easy to handle at such fast pace and of course a few drivers make mistakes on the first lap. The problem is, if the front runners go off track, they join at the back and drive like hell to regain the front, putting great pressure on the back markers, who are NOT as good a drivers as they are. The back markers brake MUCH earlier and are slower of course, causing the faster guys to nudge them from behind. This happened a lot.
Nobody should be forced to leave the road to let a faster driver through. If you are towards the back of the field, WAIT for a SAFE place to overtake. Read the rules again if you have to.
As for blue flags......I agree there are drivers who don't notice the flags. This must stop. The game will punish you if you don't allow a faster driver through within 3 corners. Look at your map guys, so you know a faster car is coming up.
This is the last warning.

My race in one word.....IDIOT

I had my pit stops planned before the race and changed plan after listening to a few guys just before race start. What a mistake!!!!
When I pitted for the first time, I was in 7th place going well and had a nice gap...lost 2 places but had fresh tires. Had to stop twice more and that cost me 6 places! Had I stuck to my plan, I would have made 8th at the worst. Damn.
Denis doing a Shumi on us, winning from the back, shows he is going to be really hard to beat and drove like a champion. Well done.
Gus and Patrik, you guys drove very well and look forward to seeing that battle develop.

Yes, I slowed down to let you through. You were lapping me. I was expecting you to pass safely, like a good boy. Instead, you were on my ass into the breaking zone, and not off line like someone who is making a passing manoeuvre. Turn 1 would have been one of the easier places to let you through, but maybe I should have waited to let you through between turns 2 and 3. I didn't want you take a last minute gap, and then bash into me on the corner exit, as some other idiot did.

But consider adding some TC and stability to make yourself more competitive. Either that, or driving aids for the top 10 in the standings need to be banned.

These driver aids listed are not accurate. Its rFactor software running for GSCE and thus makes a few mistakes. I did not have ABS, no one does in these cars yet it shows most have it on.

I have no TC at the start until I gained a big gap, then I turned on TC low to avoid stupid mistakes, and when I wanted push harder I turn it off because it slowes you a bit.

Anyway why we have there results ? If you click on our LIVE SERVER and click on results you can see the same with better visual graphics

I'm sure most of the driver aids were allowed on the server. Not sure about ABS, though. Didn't try it. I struggled to keep the car on the road for more than a few laps in practise, and then I was advised by some guys to add TC and stability. Brakes didn't lock noticeably with those on. TC did make acceleration feel very sluggish, though.

The ONLY aids allowed on the server are = Low Stability Control and Medium Traction.
This is to help the new kids on the block and they DO slow you down.

Once again.... THE ONLY AIDS ARE LOW STABILITY AND MEDIUM TRACTION.

The results are from rFactor and are wrong.

Will we get any calendar for the rest of the season races Kevin? Id like to be able to practice for the events in advance to cater for work commitments.

I can post the usual calendar for F1, but always trying to find a better version of some tracks.
We will drive the most popular ones.
Monza
Spa
Suzuka
Abu DHabI
Singapore etc.

If anyone has good quality versions, please let me have them.

Kev, I think the default version of Suzuka should be used. "Kansai" Has working DRS

WE did use Spa & Monza before & they should be fine.

Can you maybe swop Stingapoer & make it Monaco. Sure RD has a nice version of Monaco

Agree with Gert, default Suzuka is very good and worth using any default tracks, possibly also Interlagos then...maybe the modern Canada if its released by Reiza in time too.

As for Monaco, if there is a decent version I would like that, crap for racing but damn i do love the swimming pool section of the track...but I also enjoy Singapore cant we have them all hahaha!

But I think Hennie is right. Stability control does seem to be an all-in-one. Good thing it makes your acceleration slow as hell.

We also have Silverstone laser scan version and COTA laser scan version Eugene and I worked on which we used last season!
