Hello from Friesland, the Netherlands Empty Hello from Friesland, the Netherlands

Post by JorritVD 9th November 2015, 14:49

Hi,

My name is Jorrit, 25 years old or young Razz, and I am from the Netherlands, Friesland region. I am a member at EEC, and that's where I heard about Shadowracing from Kev (already a long time ago). To be honest, I don't know if I will race here or not, but I just looking for opportunities for both EEC and Shadowracing to expand the online racing and look where we maybe can help each other. I´ve been part of the sim racing community for about 10 years now I guess. First with GTR(2) and now since a couple of months with Game Stockcar, which is a very good platform imo.

With these sim-racing community I have learned a lot. I wanted to make skins, so I learned photoshop a bit to make my own skins and made mods (f.e. Fia GT 2005 mod). Because of learning these abilities it sometimes also resulted in work for real race teams (Team RaceArt) and a couple of drivers (Charlie Frijns), making for example liveries for them.

In 2012 I started, together with a couple of others, the online racing section at GT-IMT. It was fun, but struggles with Aiacos resulted in a split and the creation of EEC. Since than my racing capabilities improved a lot with the more realistic physics, and higher competition level that has been created, so I also need to push myself to improve. Although my real life stuff is getting more busier than before, I always try to race as much as possible.

Cheers, Jorrit

i got into sim racing when i spotted really rubbish racing/realish racing on motors tv, and so i debuted on there (ive always been a fan of racing and racing games but never online) i enjoy a good bit of competiton but i have taekwondo training on a tuesday, thursday and friday; and on tuesday and fridays i have club race days (non championships) with realish racing, ive only now realised how busy i am

I'll put this in here...

I'm Charlie, I'm actually Luke's team mate over at Realish Racing, and he gave me the opportunity to come over here and get some extra racing in (a hint I need the practice maybe?!) - looking forward to seeing you all on track!
