DTM 2014 ROUND 7 VANPORT 23 SEPT

WELCOME



Due to the fact that the track list for the DTM was made up BEFORE update 1.21, some of the tracks don't work with the update.
For this reason the track has been changed to VANPORT for the next round.

We will be driving the 2014 DTM Mod at VANPORT
Racing will start at 8:00pm SA

30 minute unlimited lap Qualify
Race 1:........20 minute sprint

10 minute qualify for feature race.
Race2:........40 minute Feature race with pit stop. At least 4 tires must be changed.

The race will have a standing start

The usual league rules apply.
Keep it clean and have fun guys. Don't forget to welcome any new drivers.

The guy who took the photo needs to be fired!

Razor ran out of cap, that's why he could not join the race last night. Me on the other hand, that's another story.

I was not sure if my pace of 58:30 lap times would be fast, so I had no idea where on the grid I would end up. So with Gert and Eugene not entering for the race (I can live with why Eugene did not race, but Gert ...) I sill do not know where I would be. When KyuKyu, who is normally super fast, could only get 59:xx I knew I had good pace.
After finishing race one on the top step, I decided not to qualify for the second race and start from the back of the grid. After passing most drivers in front of me I decided to do an early stop and gain time on Kyukyu. Big was my surprise when he pitted the same lap as me. I did however gain time with my pit stop so I was hunting him down for the lead. Just as I got in striking distance of him he disappeared from the radar! Francois got DQ'ed in both races, still not sure why. Kevin had internet problems - ouch! Charl also had troubles so not may was left to complete the race. However, it was enjoyable as ever with the DTM's screaming down the straights....

After race1 where you were completely out of reach, I thought "let's start race2 with little fuel so I can put some pressure on Christo" I also laughed when I saw you pitting the same lap.
Then I was looking forward for a good fight but, as I said, my game crashed.
I'm looking forward to the next one and I hope I'll be faster next time hehe

mmm... So you are also a strategist and not just a fast racer, will have to watch you in future.
